"I love my motherland. I love the morning of my motherland." This sentence comes from an old Chinese movie, Romance on Lushan Mountain. This is also the voice from the heart of many Chinese people.
Our great Chinese nation has the longest culture in the world, which is the most splendid national culture in the world. For a very long period of history, we were the pioneers in the process of promoting the human civilization. Many of the great ideas and inventions that have influenced the world were born in China. Centuries ago, ships laden with Chinese treasures and knowledge started from China sailed between the east and west. Goods on the private merchant ships were traded then. The royal ship's cargo was gifted to other countries. Our motherland was once the most powerful country, and I feel so proud of it! That is one of the reasons why I love my motherland.
The rises and falls of our motherland always affect my heart. Our ancestors invented the first compass , but they still wandered in the darkness of feudalism for centuries; our ancestors invented the first gunpowder, but afterwards the invaders attacked our homeland with the same weapon；our ancestors invented the first piece of paper in the world, but still signed on it with countless unfair treaties…I can't forget this humiliating history so far, because I love my motherland so deeply.
Our motherland gave birth to their indomitable Chinese nation. In any case, our Chinese people won't give up our motherland. When the mainstream of the world thought that China would be torn to pieces in this historical catastrophe, we still stood up, loudly singing “build up a new great wall with our flesh and blood”. Our revolutionary forebears came and went, devoted their youth and blood to the new China. Finally, our motherland reborn in nirvana.
Napoleon once said that China is a sleeping lion. China has been developing under the leadership of our Party and the unremitting efforts of generations of Chinese people. Seventy years after the founding of China, our motherland has achieved the development that shocks the world.
With rapid economic development, China has become the world's largest economic market. Many countries have established diplomatic ties with China. Once again, China has regained her voice at the UN. How many people are there to support her! Confucius institutes have been established in several countries. Our national anthem echoed in the Olympic stadium again and again. Our national flag on the Jiao Long submarine was taken to the depths of ocean which had never been reached before by the world; another one is also waving in the South Pole, which makes people so proud!
My heart is Chinese red; my heart beats with the swing of the national flag of my motherland. I love my motherland, at the bottom of my heart. I would like to make a vow, just like our revolutionary forebears—come and go devote my youth and blood to the great rejuvenation of our motherland. The way ahead is endless and rugged, but I'll explore it with my will unbendingly.
